On your cruise trip, there are different places you can explore on the way to Andaman. The main ships connecting the three ports to Port Blair are MV Nancowry, MV Nicobar, MV Harshavardhana, MV Swaraj Dweep, and M.V Akbar.
How many days are enough for your Andaman trip?
No matter how many days you stay there, it will never be enough. But still, a 5-night and 6-day trip is best to cover the main sightseeing destinations. And you are diving lessons you need 2 to 3 weeks for it.
Day 1: You will arrive in Port Blair somewhere in the afternoon from your starting destination. The first thing you need to do when you land there is relax. Check in your hotel room and have a bath and most importantly have a good nap. Collect all your energy and then book your ticket and arrange a permit for Mahatma Gandhi National Marine Park.
Day 2: Start early for Mahatma Gandhi National Marine Park near Wandoor (Note: Plastic, wrappers carry bags, and bottles are not allowed). Took the first boat to Jolly Bouy Island around 7:00 a.m. Enjoy your day here on this Island, it is an amazing place for couples to click pictures and watch the sunset.
Day 3: Took a ferry to Ross Island from Junglighant Boat Jetty. Ross Island used to be home to the British administration. There is a Japanese bunker near the jetty, you can have a look over there, it is worth watching even after it is rotten and everything. After spending some time you can go to North Bay Island. Here you can enjoy the various sports activities. Sea walking is the best adventure you can do in North Bay. And you can end your day 3 by visiting the lighthouse.
Day 4: After a hectic day, you need a relaxing day it's time to visit Mahatma Gandhi Park in the morning. It is a good place just to sit for a couple of hours; especially if you are traveling with children. Some rides are also available but they generally start after 3 p.m. You can end your day by visiting Munda Pahar Beach and Chidiyatapu. If you want to trek and watch the sunset make sure to reach there before 3 p.m.
Day 5: Use this day to check local markets and museums. Start with Chattan Saw Mill, which is still operational followed by Samudrika Museum a well-maintained Museum by the Indian Navy. Then finally visit the most important place in Indian History "The Cellular Jail". Visiting here can leave an important mark on your life. Don't forget to watch the evening show and then enjoy the view from the top of Cellular Jail.
Day 6: take an early morning ferry to Havelock Island. Reach there have your brunch and then proceed to Kala Pathar beach. This cannot be described in words; the beauty of white sand is so pleasing. The swim on this beach is a must and this beach will not go below your expectations.
Day 7: Finally day, you can make a trip to the nearby beach or something, but it will be best if you stay back and relax for a bit and then do your packing. Catch your ship or plane for Port Blair and fly back home. And always remember this amazing trip of your life.
